Youth Training Programs
One of the core traditions of the YMCA has been to provide tomorrow’s leaders with the tools and the skills to effectively carry out our numerous programs and activities to serve the needs of our youth. An estimated 1800 youth, on average, register for our training programs annually.
We run targeted programs that have been honed over the years to address the needs of our youth and to prepare them for their roles as citizens. We instill in our youth the confidence to believe in their potential and to contribute in a positive way to the growth and progress of their communities.
Our programs are varied and focus on a range of topics, themes and opportunities such as:
- Education on democracy and fostering the idea of democracy as a way of life
- Training sessions for counselors, directors, and facilitators in education on democracy for camp programs, extra school activities, and voluntary work camps.
- Organizing enjoyable camp opportunities for Lebanese orphans.
- Helping children and adolescents deal with physical, psychological and social challenges.
