Chabab Moucharek: This project promotes democracy through awareness raising on the importance of youth participation in elections and municipal councils as well as other areas of development work. In total, 180 young participants from all over Lebanon (fairly distributed on the 6 mohafazas) were identified to participate in a training programme covering issues such as: citizenship, democracy, participation, and municipal laws.

Online Safety:Implemented by YMCA and Microsoft, the project’s goal is to enable an environment of accountability and responsibility to propagate children online safety. In total, 100 of beneficiaries from different NGOs, Associations and the 8 Fouras centers trained on online safety.

Promoting Child labor:The YMCA implemented a project on combating the worst forms of child labor in collaboration with the concerned authorities and NGOs with the support of Amideast. This project aims to: Spread awareness about child labor, child rights and strengthening the capacity of non-governmental organizations to reduce the worst forms of child labor with the production of a game that was distributed to the NGOs.

English business and computer skills: The Beyond Association will be represented by Mr. Riad Jaber who will be training English business and computer skills in 2 Fouras Centers: Tyr and Nabatiyeh. This project intends to enhance the acquisition of skills for Youth and Women from different centers.

Socio-economic integration of persons with disabilities: the project is implemented by Tyr Fouras Center, YMCA and with the Lebanese Physical Handicapped Union of Tyr. The project works towards realizing the rights of disabled persons according to law, employment trainging for persons with disabilities; integration of disabled persons in training courses with the non-disabled.

Technology is the bridge of communication between urban and rural women: The Fouras center of Nabatiyeh – Ansar made a one day workshop on the 20 of March 2010 to 60 women from urban and rural region on technology as a way of communication.
