On March 30th, Aflatoun Lebanon participated in the 2017 Aflatoun Day. Aflatoun Day is the annual celebration of the Aflatoun program, which encorporates everyone who contributes to the program- chilren, youth, teachers, etc. The day consisted of two parts: the first part was a certificate distribution ceremony, for the children who had participated in Aflatoun's Environmental Day. We wanted to say thank you to the two classes who participated, and give them something to remember the day by. We gave out about 100 certificates to the two classes who had been involved.
The second part of the day was spent connecting with Aflatoun classes around the world. About 30 kids from one of our classes skyped with aflatoun classes in Ukraine and Russia. They discussed the environmental day they had participated in, and the activities they were doing in class, as well as hearing about what the children in Russia & Ukraine were working on. It was a great experience, and the kids had a fantastic time connecting with other children all around the world.
